What We Do

sunset

Restore Life USA is a non profit organization (501c3) that provides human tissues for medical research and education purposes. We specialize in all types of research from bio mechanical to cell preservation.

We also work with researchers to find cures, therapies, treatments, and an enhanced quality of life for cancer treatments for cancer, ALS, Alzheimer's and to study and better understand psychiatric disorders.

As a non profit we generate funding by providing services to researchers and educators across the country. We do not sell our service or donated speciemns. The researchers and educators cover our cost associated with the transportation, cremation, surgical recovery, tissue preservation, staffing, insurance, and all the cost related to a 24 hour 7 day a week operation.

Restore Life USA also works with Project My Heart Your Heart.

This program through the University of Michigan has the ultimate goal of recycling used pacemakers.

We continue to support other local charities such as the Tweetsie Trail Conservancy, local lake clean up projects Jericho Shriners, Camp Fierfly, and area schools through Donors Choose.

How Does It Work

We strongly recommend all donors pre-register to ensure acceptance; however, it is not required. The donation process begins immediately following the donor’s passing or upon acceptance of a at-need donor. Once Restore Life USA is notified by the appropriate healthcare personnel or the donor family, the donor will be picked up by our staff and will be transported to our donor facility located in East Tennessee. The donor’s cremains, if desired, will be returned in a metal urn to the donor family, within 30 days, and delivered by our staff, if possible.

Some Of Our Reviews

President of partner Organzation

Restore Life exceeds our expectations in meeting research specifications. They are extremely knowledgeable in anatomy and procurement. They always go the extra mile and are very professional. They have become an extension of our operation.

Research Development Manager

"We find Restore Life to be an essential partner for our research activities.  They are highly ethical recovery specialists, who provide quality biospecimens and quality data.  Many times, we’ve included Restore Life USA in the beginning steps of initiating a project because the quality of feedback and suggestions they have provided have been so insightful.  We do have other partnerships, but Restore Life USA is the organization that we go to first (and most) because they are honest, provide beautiful specimen, are flexible, and are extremely dedicated to science."

Manager

We have been working with Restore Life USA for over 3 years, in that time I have continued to choose to work with RLU because they first and foremost are equally as invested in the families who donate their bodies as they are to the researchers, who strive to improve our products for the medical community and their patients. The quality of customer care RLU provides is exceptional and they truly are passionate about their mission, the families they work with and the medical community.
